Forever Home

Posted by:

In 2015 Home Church began an intentional, ongoing planned giving stewardship ministry called “Forever Home: Stewarding God’s Gifts in Perpetuity.”

Recently, I spoke to one of our members who returned a response card and indicated that Home Church would receive a portion of his estate through a bequest in his will. This gentleman asked to remain anonymous, saying, “there’s no need to make a big fuss” as leaving a portion of his estate to the church is “probably something everybody will do…they just didn’t send in their card.”

He went on to say:

“It’s not about me. It’s about this place and what it has done for me. It’s about worshiping in God’s Acre as the sun rises on Easter morning. It’s about making sure Home Church will be around for another 245 years. It’s about God’s hand in my hand my whole life. My goodness, how could I not give back?”

What is your reason for giving to your church? Have you considered including the church in your planned giving? Please contact Moravian Ministries Foundation (888) 722-7923 for more information if your plan involves multiple Moravian churches or ministries. Or, if your plan is for Home Church specifically, contact the church office at (336) 722-6171.

May God bless your generosity and ministry.
