We’ll cover the basics of different types of investments and explain the benefits of each type. This will include a conversation on stocks, bonds, mutual funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs), asset allocations, and risk management. Chris will be joined by our Wells Fargo brokerage advisor, Daniel Choplin.
June 22, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. EDT “How MMFA Invests”
This class will explain the Moravian Common Fund and how MMFA constructs portfolios for our investors. The conversation will include a discussion on goals, risk, and decisions involved to decide your investment pool.
June 29, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. EDT “Investment Outlook”
We’ll look at a sample performance report and cover how you track your investment goals to actual results. Chris will be joined by our portfolio manager, Todd Rabold to discuss Wells Fargo’s outlook on the markets and the global economy.

Would your congregation, agency, or ministry benefit from additional funding? Father and son team, Chris and Zach Spaugh will present the steps and process for applying for a grant through the Moravian Ministries Foundation in America from our Field of Interest funds.

This session explores the very popular use of donor advised funds. Not only will you learn how these work, attendees will also leave with an understanding of the basics of charitable giving in the US.
July 27, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. EDT “Endowments”
Explore the word endowment and the various options for how perpetual plans are fulfilled. Take an in-depth look at the use of funds at Moravian Ministries Foundation.
August 3, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. EDT “Retirement Planning for Charity”
We’ll look at various ways to use retirement assets for your charitable giving. The Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from an IRA will be discussed along with estate planning ideas for your retirement assets.
